The Easyhaler Salbutamol inhaler is a medicine that belongs to a group of medicines called bronchodilators,
These work by relaxing the muscles in your lungs, to help relieve and prevent asthma symptoms brought on by different triggers such as, exercise, dust, pollen, dogs, cats, cold temperatures and cigarette smoke.
When you use your Easyhaler Salbutamol inhaler, remember to first breath as slowly as possible and follow the below steps from the patient user manual
Remove the dustcap, shake the inhaler 3 to 5 times whilst keeping the inhaler in the upright position, (if you accidentally click the inhaler prior to shaking it, remove the powder from the mouthpiece)
Keep holding the inhaler upright, press down on the top part until you hear a click, this will indicate that a dose has been released. (Only click down once, if you click more than one time, empty the powder from the mouthpiece)
Whilst still holding the inhaler upright, exhale normally, place the mouthpiece into your mouth between your teeth and close your lips tightly around the mouthpiece to create a seal, take a strong deep breath in, hold your breath for at least 5 seconds and then exhale normally.
