What is Clenil Inhaler?
Clenil Modulite is a brown preventer inhaler, this means the Clenil Inhaler will prevent any further attacks and reduces symptoms. Clenil Modulite contains that active ingredient Beclomethasone Dipropionate which is a steroid. Steroids are anti-inflammatory which reduces the irritation in the airways inside of your lungs.
How do you take Clenil Inhaler?
Before using your Clenil inhaler, it is important to breathe as slowly as possible. Following this, follow the steps below:
- Stand or sit upright
- Remove the Clenil inhaler mouthpiece cover, gently squeezing the sides with your thumb and forefinger to pull apart
- Shake the inhaler four/five times
- Hold the Clenil Modulite inhaler upright, with the thumb on the base below the mouthpiece
- Breathe out as far as comfortable
- Place the mouthpiece in your mouth, between your teeth and close your lips around it
- Breathe in through your mouth and then press down on the top of the canister (whilst still breathing in steadily and deeply
- Hold your breath and remove the inhaler from your mouth
If you need to take another puff, wait about a minute and a half, and always replace the mouthpiece cover following use.
Young users may need help to operate the inhaler.
Weak handed users may find it easier to hold the inhaler with both hands.

- Tight Chest

Interactions between Clenil inhaler with alcohol and food?
It is fine to consume alcohol when using a Clenil Modulite Inhaler. There are no food types that interact with this course of treatment.
Any interactions with Clenil inhaler and other drugs?
You should not use a Clenil Modulite Inhaler if you are on a course of treatment to regulate your heartbeat or if you are using any other medications for asthma.
Is there any reason why I would not be able to take Clenil Inhaler?
If you a pregnant or trying to get pregnant speak to your GP before starting this course of treatment.
Why should I take the Clenil Inhaler?
As Clenil Modulite contains an inhaled steroid it works to reduce symptoms and prevents future asthma attacks. Clenil Modulite is extremely effective at opening up the airways in the lungs.
What's the difference between Clenil Modulite and Ventolin?
Ventolin inhalers contains salbutamol, and is used to treat asthma, acting as a ‘fast acting bronchodilators’ to help your airways stay open and relieve chest tightness, wheezing and coughing.
Clenil Modulite inhalers contain the active ingredient beclomethasone dipropionate, which is known as a preventative inhaler as Clenil Modulite works to prevent future asthma attacks by its anti-inflammatory effect on the airways.
Clenil Inhaler is a preventative, whereas Ventolin works to reduce symptoms that one is currently experiencing.
