What is Zolmitriptan?
Zolmitriptan tablets belong to a group of medicines called triptans. Zolmitriptan works by reducing the widening of blood vessels in the head, which is thought to be the cause of the headache and other symptoms of migraine attacks.
How do you take Zolmitriptan?
Always take Zolmitriptan tablets exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
You can take Zolmitriptan as soon as a migraine headache starts or when an attack is underway.
If the tablets did not give you enough help with your migraine, tell your doctor.
Side effects of Zolmitriptan?

Interactions Zolmitriptan tablets with alcohol and food?
Alcohol can exacerbate the unpleasant side effects of Zolmitriptan such as dizziness and nausea so are not recommended when taking this course of treatment. There are no food products that decrease the effectiveness of Zolmitriptan.

Is there any reason why I would not be able to take Zolmitriptan?
You CANNOT take Zolmitriptan tablets if:
- You are allergic to any of the ingredients
- You have high blood pressure
- You have ever had heart problems
- You have circulatory problems
- You have had a stroke
- You have severe kidney problems
- You are taking other medication for migraines
