Important Information About Zolmitriptan

Zolmitriptan tablets are used to treat migraine headaches.
Zolmitriptan works by reducing the widening of blood vessels in the head, which is though the cause the headache and other symptoms of migraine attacks.
You can not take Zolmitriptan tablets if:
- You are allergic to any of the ingredients
- You have high blood pressure
- You have ever had heart problems
- You have circulatory problems
- You have had a stroke
- You have severe kidney problems
- You are taking other medication for migraines
If you are taking or have taken any other medicines recently, you should tell you doctor before taking Zolmitriptan tablets. Specifically if you are taking any of the following, you should consult with your doctor before commencing treatment:
- Medication for migraines
- Medication for depression
- Quinolone antibiotics
- St John’s wort
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking Zolmitriptan tablets.
