Famotidine Tablets are a medicine used to relieve and prevent symptoms of acid reflux and gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), such as heartburn and indigestion. They belong to a class of medicines called H2 receptor antagonists, which work by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach. This helps relieve discomfort, promote healing of the oesophagus, and prevent symptoms from recurring. Famotidine is usually taken once or twice daily, as directed by a healthcare professional, and can provide relief for several hours. The active ingredient in this medicine is Famotidine.
The other ingredients are: microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, macrogol 4000, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, sodium starch glycolate (type A), colloidal anhydrous silica, pregelatinized starch, talc and titanium dioxide (E171).

You should not take Famotidine Tablets if You are allergic to famotidine, other H2−receptor antagonists or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
