Nizatidine capsules are a type of medicine known as an H2 receptor antagonist, used to relieve and prevent symptoms of acid reflux and heartburn. They work by blocking histamine H2 receptors in the stomach lining, which reduces the production of stomach acid. This helps relieve discomfort, prevent acid from irritating the oesophagus, and promote healing of inflammation such as oesophagitis. Nizatidine can provide longer-lasting relief than some antacids and is often taken once or twice daily, with or without food. It is suitable for short-term symptom control or longer-term management under medical guidance.
Nizatidine capsules are used to reduce the amount of acid in your stomach and heal and stop problems caused by acid in your esophagus. These issues can cause pain and discomfort known as acid reflux.
