Anastrozole Tablets contain a substance called anastrozole which belong to a group of medicines called ‘aromatase inhibitors’. It is used to treat breast cancer in women who have gone through the menopause.
You should always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you – check with them if you are unsure.
The recommend dose is one tablet once a day, taken at the same time each day if possible. It can be swallowed whole with a glass of water, and it does not matter if you take Anastrozole 1mg Tablets before, with or after food.
Keep taking Anastrozole for as long as your doctor tells you to. It is a long-term treatment, and you may need to take it for several years.
