What is Triple Action Hair Loss Spray?

Triple Action (Finasteride, Minoxidil and Tretinoin) Hair Loss Spray is a topical medication that is used for the treatment of male pattern baldness, which is a common type of hair loss that normally starts as a receding hairline, or you may notice some bald spots. It is designed specifically for patients that do not want to take tablets and require a once daily application.

How does Finasteride work?

Finasteride works by reducing DHT levels and in return helps prevent hair loss and promotes hair regrowth in male pattern baldness.

How does Minoxidil work?

Minoxidil widens the bloods vessels and increases blood flow to the hair follicles. It is thought to reactivate dormant hair follicles, prolong the growth phase of hair, and promote the survival of dermal papilla cells.

How do I use Triple Action Hair Loss Spray?

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are unsure, check with them. The usual dose is to apply 6 pumps (1ml) to a dry scalp daily. For the best results, allow the solution to dry in before applying any hair styling products.

The hair loss spray is for external use only and should only be applied to the scalp. If you use too much solution or it comes in contact with the eyes, broken, skin or the mouth, rinse with water immediately.

What are the side effects of Triple Action Hair Loss Spray?

Triple Action Hair Loss Spray can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. The most common side effects patients experience are:

  • persistent redness, rash or irritation
  • itching of the skin or rash
  • excessive hair growth
  • shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • feeling sick

Temporary hair loss may also occur during the first two to six weeks of use. This is likely to be because of a change within the growth cycle and it should stop within a couple of weeks. If this continues longer than four weeks, stop using the product and talk to your doctor.

Is there any reason I cannot use Triple Action Hair Loss Spray?

You should not use Triple Action Hair Loss Spray if you:

  • were not born as a male as it has been shown in clinical trials that Finasteride does not work in women with hair loss.
  • are not 18 years or older.
  • are allergic to any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
  • are suffering from any form of hair loss that may not be caused by male pattern hair loss.
  • are susceptible to severe scalp infections or psoriasis.

When should I expect to see results from Triple Action Hair Loss Spray?

It will take time to see the benefits of any hair loss treatment, with maximal benefits being seen from approximately 12 months.

It is important to remember that you need to continue to use this medication once daily to sustain the benefits that you have achieved. If the medication is stopped, it is likely that hair loss will resume, and any benefits will be reversed over a 9-to-12-month period.

If you are seeing ongoing deterioration of hair loss following 6-12 months of treatment, it may be beneficial to not continue to use this medication.

How do I store Triple Action Hair Loss Spray?
