What is the Seebri Breezhaler?
The Seebri Breezhaler belongs to a group of medicines called bronchodilators. It is used to make breathing easier for adult patients who have breathing difficulties due to a lung disease called chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD).
How does Seebri Breezhaler work?
In COPD, the muscles around the airways tighten, making breathing difficult. Seebri Breezhaler works by blocking the tightening of these muscles in the lungs, making it easier for air to get in and out of the lungs.
How do you use Seebri Breezhaler?
You should always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, check with them.
The usual dose is to inhale the content of one capsule each day. This is because the effect of this medicine lasts for 24 hours. You must not use more than your doctor tells you to use.
If you have inhaled too much of this medicine or if someone else accidentally uses your capsules, you must immediately either tell your doctor or go to the nearest emergency unit as medical attention may be needed.
What are the side effects of using Seebri Breezhaler?
Like all medicines, the Seebri Breezhaler can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. The most common side effects experienced whilst using this medicine are as follows:
dry mouth
difficulty sleeping
runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat
diarrhoea or stomach ache
musculoskeletal pain
If you get any side effects, including any possible side effects not listed in the leaflet, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Is there any reason I would not be able to use Seebri Breezhaler?
It is not recommended to use Seebri Breezhaler if you are allergic to glycopyrronium bromide or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
If you suffer from kidney problems, an eye problem, or have difficulty passing urine then you must talk to your doctor before using this medication.
Can I use the Seebri Breezhaler if I am pregnant?
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
However, keep in mind that there is no data from the use of this medicine in pregnant women and it is not known whether the active substance of this medicine passes into human milk.
Can I drive while using the Seebri Breezhaler?
Seebri Breezhaler is unlikely to affect your ability to drive and use machines.
How do I store the Seebri Breezhaler?
Seebri Breezhaler should be stored in the original packaging, and in a location that is not above 25°C. It’s important that you do not use this medication after the expiry date which is stated on the carton and blister after “EXP”.
The capsules should be kept in their original blister in order to protect from moisture and should not be removed from them until immediately before use.
How do I dispose of the Seebri Breezhaler?
The inhaler in each pack should be disposed of after all capsules in that pack have been used. It should not be thrown away via wastewater or household waste. Instead, ask your pharmacist how to throw away any medications you no longer use. These measures will help protect the environment.
