How long does it take for Phenoxymethylpenicillin to work on a dental infection?
Most people start to feel better within a few days of starting Phenoxymethylpenicillin. However, dental abscesses often require the source of infection to be drained by a dentist as well as antibiotics, since medication alone may not fully resolve the underlying problem.
What should I do if I miss a dose of Phenoxymethylpenicillin?
If you miss a dose of Phenoxymethylpenicillin, take it as soon as you remember, unless it’s almost time for your next dose. In that case, skip the missed dose and continue as normal. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one. Try to space remaining doses evenly through the day.

Warnings
