Evorel Patches are used for HRT in women who are going through menopause to relieve symptoms.
Have a question ? we're here to help
The Evorel Patch is a form of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) used by women who are experiencing side effects of menopause. The active ingredient in Evorel Patches is estradiol.
Menopause is when a woman stops having a period and is unable to get pregnant naturally. The menopause usually occurs between 45 and 55 as a result of a woman’s oestrogen levels declining.
Common symptoms of menopause include:
You can buy the Evorel Patch online from trusted prescribers such as e-Surgery or from your local GP. If you choose to buy Evorel Patches online from e-Surgery we will require you to fill out a quick 2-minute health questionnaire to ensure the medication is right for you.
If you buy the Evorel patch online, or from your local GP, and commence treatment it will act by replacing the oestrogen that is normally released by the ovaries. An increase in oestrogen will reduce the symptoms of menopause.
For women who still have not had a hysterectomy it is essential to add a progesterone to the oestrogen to help shed the lining of the womb as oestrogen causes it to build up and thicken causing potential problems such as endometrial cancer.
Evorel is not a contraceptive patch.
Before you buy Evorel Patches online, or from your local GP, and commence treatment it is important to inform your doctor or pharmacist of your medical history and any medication you are currently taking. Always follow the advice of your healthcare professional when starting a new medication.

Use your Evorel patch 5 days within bleeding if you are not currently using HRT and are still having regular periods.
If you are changing from another treatment of HRT that gives you a withdrawal bleed put your Evorel patch on at the end of your treatment cycle or one week after completing use of your existing HRT product.
It is always recommended to talk to a doctor to pharmacist before you change HRT treatment so you are aware of how to do so safely.

Your patch needs to be changed twice a week and you must start a new pack of patches immediately after finishing one. Change your patch on the same two days each week, this will mean one patch is on for three days and the next four. Do not apply the patch on the same area of skin twice in a row.
For further support on deciding which days to change your patch please read the Evorel Patch patient information leaflet.
