It works by inhibiting the formation of bacterial cell walls, thereby preventing their growth and reproduction. Amoxicillin can be used to treat dental infections, however if you request this treatment from us, you must also book the next available appointment with your dentist. The Amoxicillin treatment will not resolve the root cause of your dental infection, which must be determined by your regular dentist. How it works

Amoxicillin 500mg capsules work by inhibiting the growth of bacteria that cause dental infections. As a penicillin-type antibiotic, amoxicillin interferes with bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), which are essential for building and maintaining the bacterial cell wall. This weakens the bacterial structure, causing it to rupture and leading to bacterial cell death. Amoxicillin is effective against common oral pathogens, reducing infection, swelling, and pain while preventing the spread of bacteria to surrounding tissues.
