About Emma
Emma is a passionate community pharmacist with nearly 25 years' experience in the Community Pharmacy sector. She believes pharmacies play a crucial role in enabling people to access good quality healthcare advice and treatment. She is proud of the interventions community pharmacy staff make on a daily basis, often to people who may have otherwise gone without help. After a career of providing 'face to face advice' she is excited to now be part of an online pharmacy business where we can provide quality care with the minimum disruption to people's lives.
ExperienceEmma began her pharmacy career as a Saturday girl at an independent pharmacy in the West Midlands. After qualifying she spent the next ten years working as a pharmacist manager, with a large multiple, at various locations in Norfolk. She went to work with an independent group of pharmacies, where she quickly progressed to Superintendent Pharmacist. It was during this time she was able to complete an MBA and gain a Diploma in Management Consultancy at the University of East Anglia.
The business was sold in 2021 and she took up a new role within the local Integrated Care Board focusing on Quality Assurance in Community Pharmacy. She moved to Total Access Health in 2024 and is looking forward to gaining the new experience of working in an online community pharmacy. She also continues to work as a locum pharmacist in local stores and works as a Pharmacy Clinical Advisor for the NHS.
