How it works

Mounjaro (Tirzepatide) works by activating two key receptors, GIP and GLP-1, which help control appetite and metabolism. These receptors are found in the brain, pancreas, and digestive system.

By stimulating GLP-1 receptors in the brain, Mounjaro helps reduce appetite and food intake. At the same time, it slows digestion, keeping you full longer after meals. The GIP component boosts metabolism and may also reduce some common stomach-related side effects of GLP-1 medications.

Together, these effects help create a natural calorie deficit by reducing food intake and potentially increasing energy use, leading to gradual weight loss.
