Mefenamic Acid belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) that are widely used to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and bring down a high temperature.
Mefenamic Acid is commonly used for relief of mild to moderate pain including muscle pains, period pain, stomach aches, or excessively heavy periods.

It’s important that you always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The recommended dose is one tablet, three times a day. However, this can vary depending on your age and your risk factors. If you are suffering from menstrual pain, Mefenamic Acid should be taken when the pain begins. They should be swallowed with a drink of water, preferably with or after food.

Although Mefenamic Acid doesn’t stop or delay periods, it is used to treat period pain. It can help with painful periods, ease cramps, stomach aches, and improve heavy periods.

An overdose may result in headaches, nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain. Bring all contents of the medication, including any leftover tablets, to the hospital or doctor so they know which tablets were consumed.
