Kentera patches are a patch that is placed on the skin to deliver a sustained dose of a drug called oxybutynin. Oxybutynin is used to treat symptoms of an overactive bladder and incontinence. These can include:
Kentera Patches work by relaxing the muscles around your bladder. This means your bladder can hold more liquid and you do not need to urinate as often or as urgently. Kentera belongs to the group of medicines called antispasmodics. It helps decrease muscle spasms of the bladder and the frequent urge to urinate caused by these spasms.
You should always use Kentera Patches as prescribed by your doctor or pharmacist. Kentera patches are usually applied twice a week, however your specific dose may differ. Follow the instructions that come with the patches.
Stick a patch to clean, dry skin on your stomach, hip or bottom.
Remove the old patch before sticking on the new one.
Stick the new patch to a different area of your stomach, hips or bottom. Using the same area may irritate your skin. Do not stick the patch in the same place for at least 1 week.
Kentera Patches can be taken by adults and children aged 5 years or over.

Keep Kentera Patches out of the sight and reach of children. Do not use Kentera Patches after the expiry date which is stated on the carton/blister packaging after EXP. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month. Store in the original package below 25ºC, in a dry place.
Do not dispose of Kentera Patches via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines you no longer use. These measures will help to protect the environment.
