Clonidine is a type of medicine called a vasodilator. They have many uses, but they are mainly used to prevent hot flushes and night sweats that may occur in women during menopause.

Clonidine Tablets help to relax blood vessels in the heart and other parts of the body such as the brain or skin. As a result, it helps treat menopausal hot flushes or sweats.
Menopause occurs anywhere around the age of 40-58, and it refers to a phase in a women’s life when she no longer has her period. Clonidine Tablets may take 2 to 4 weeks to work fully and for you to start to feel better. Depending on your condition you’ll take them 1 to 3 times a day for as long as you need it.

Clonidine Tablets are taken orally. The usual starting dose is 50 micrograms (two tablets), two times a day. If necessary, after two weeks, your doctor may increase the dose to 75 micrograms (three tablets), two times a day.
