What is Aciclovir cream?
Aciclovir cream treats cold sores. Aciclovir cream stops the herpes virus from spreading and multiplying which relieves symptoms quickly.
What is the Herpes Virus?
The Herpes Virus is extremely infectious and cannot be cured. However, it has periods of being dormant and is only infectious during an outbreak. There is oral herpes and genital herpes. Oral herpes is when you get blistering sores around your mouth. Oral herpes is also known as cold sores.
Aciclovir cream can help reduce symptoms of oral herpes only.
How do you take Aciclovir cream?
Aciclovir cream is topical. You apply the cream onto the affected area with clean hands.

Interactions with alcohol and food?
Aciclovir won’t be affected by alcohol although it is recommended that alcohol is avoided as alcohol can cause dryness to the skin which would exacerbate the dry skin caused by using the cream.
Any interactions with other drugs?
Aciclovir cream does not interact with any other drugs.

Why should I take Aciclovir cream?
The herpes virus cannot be treated. Aciclovir cream works to treat the symptoms of the virus by decreasing the discomfort and appearance of blisters or sored.
