Have a question ? we're here to help
The FemSeven Conti Patch is a type of hormone replacement therapy that is used by women who are post-menopause to relieve their symptoms. The patches contain two types of female hormones, an oestrogen (Oestradiol hemihydrate) and a progestogen (levonorgestrel). It is prescribed to women who had their last period at least one year prior.
FemSeven Conti patches contain both oestradiol and norethindrone acetate. The oestradiol helps relieve menopausal symptoms like hot flashes and norethindrone acetate helps protect the uterine lining from overstimulation by oestrogen alone.
The oestradiol and norethindrone acetate are continuously released from the adhesive patch through the skin to achieve the desired hormone levels.
By delivering a steady low dose of progestin along with oestrogen, FemSeven Conti patches allow women to safely use hormone therapy.
Like regular FemSeven patches, the Conti patches are applied twice weekly to maintain consistent hormone levels.
The active ingredients in FemSeven Conti Patches are oestradiol which is an oestrogen and norethindrone which is a progesterone. They both work to elevate symptoms of menopause in women and allow for day to day living to be as comfortable and less painful as possible.
For the medication to work, you need to follow the instructions for use, which can be found on the patient information leaflet included in the packaging, or alternative can be found online.
Take the patch out of the pouch.
Holding just the edges, peel off half of the protective plastic liner. Avoid touching the sticky side.
Apply the exposed sticky half of the patch to your skin. Press it firmly.
Now peel off the second half of the liner.
Use your palm to smoothly adhere the rest of the patch against your skin.
Apply firm pressure with your hand for 30 seconds, ensuring all edges are stuck down. Your body heat helps activate the adhesive.
