Beclometasone Nasal Spray is used to prevent and treat inflammation in the lining of your nose (rhinitis) due to season allergies such as hay fever, and due to year-round (perennial) allergies such as animal allergies.

Hay fever is a form of seasonal allergy that is very common, especially in the summer months. The cause is not always known, but it is often related to pollen from certain grass and trees. • very occasionally you may find you get an unpleasant taste or smell
• a dry or painful nose or throat
• bad nose bleeds
• mild allergic reactions including skin rashes or redness, itching or redness, itching or weals like nettle rash or hives

If you get the following side effects, you must tell and get a doctor’s help straight away:

• becoming very wheezy or having difficulty with breathing
• swelling around the face or throat

There is no known reaction between Beclometasone Nasal Spray and food/alcohol.

If you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including herbal medicines and medicines obtained without a prescription, please tell your doctor. This is because some medicines may increase the effects of Beclometasone Nasal Spray and your doctor may wish to monitor you carefully.

• you have had steroids for a long time, either as an injection or by your mouth
• you have ever had an operation on your nose
• you have an infection in your nose

Beclometasone Nasal Spray should be protected from frost and light, and not stored above 30°C (86°F). The bottle should stop being used three months after you first opened it. The medicine should also not be used after the expiry date which is stated on the label and carton.
