MENUMENU

Heartburn

Acid reflux, also known as heartburn or indigestion, is a burning feeling in the chest caused by stomach acid travelling up towards the throat. If it keeps happening, it’s called gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD).

Medication can reduce the amount of acid made in your stomach to control these symptoms.

Some people take short courses of medication when symptoms flare up, and others need long-term daily medication to keep symptoms away.
